Having a diverse background from project management and event coordination to executive administration skills, Brad has worked in both the public and private sector. Currently working as an Operations Manager for a non-profit, when Chana presented the idea of running a Thai food business, he did not hesitate to put his business skills to work and make it happen!
Chana is not only his business partner but his best friend and wife. Brad oversees the day to day operation of Thairific, including planning the festival schedules and maintaining the social media side of the business. He too has a love of food and he works with Chana to explore future menu options including their fusion foods!
His advise is you stop bu their booth at a festival. Try the Pork Satays because who doesn't love meat on a stick!
Born in the province of Chai Nat, Thailand, Chanakan, or Keo to her friends, was formally trained as a Nurse Aide at Kluaynamthai Hospital Training School in Bangkok. She began her love of food back home, learning traditional dishes from her mother, father and grandparents.
Arriving in Canada in January 2007, she became a Canadian Citizen in 2014. Although successfully employed as a PSW, her passion for cooking was fueled by the demand for her traditional Thai dishes from friends and family. She and her husband began exploring starting a food business.
In early 2015, Thairific Cuisine Corporation, operating as Thairific, became a reality with Chana as Vice-President and Head Chef. Her food continues to be made from scratch with flavour profiles next to none. From subtle to hot and spicy, her food brings people back wanting more every time!
